Guided Ayurvedic Cleanse (At-Home "Pancha Karma" with Meghan Hays Ayurveda) Spring 2023 *Sign up by March 5th!*
Ayurveda teaches us that a cleanse at the transition of each season helps balance the body and mind. An Ayurvedic cleanse helps to encourage the natural elimination of toxins, or "ama," which accumulate from improper digestion, unsupportive practices, and daily stress over the fall and winter months. A gentle, seasonal cleanse promotes total wellbeing and allows the body to do what it is made to do: HEAL.
This semi-annual cleanse, led by Meghan, is rooted in the Ayurvedic tradition of "pancha karma," a cleanse typically applied in an Ayurvedic hospital or pancha karma center. The beauty of this unique cleanse is that you can do it in the comfort of your own home, experience community support from your fellow participants, and receive expert guidance from me, Meghan, Ayurvedic Doctor (AyD).
You'll eat nourishing food, perform calming practices, and perform body-care therapies all in your own environment and at your own pace. I'll guide you every step of the way.
What you'll receive:
4, 90-min. Live Zoom Meetings (also recorded if you can't make it) to explain the steps of the cleanse each week (herbs, diet, and body therapies), describe in detail what you'll be doing that week and why, answer any and all questions you might have, and discuss/share any experiences you'd like.

Ayurvedic wisdom teaches us that our bodies are the most resilient and strongest during the Spring. Spring is the "kapha season." Kapha is the dosha, or force, in our minds and bodies made of earth and water elements. Earth represents structure and stability, and water represents fluid and flow. So, when in balance, kapha gives us resiliency, strength, and stability.
Since Spring is the kapha season, our bodies and minds naturally have the most and strongest tissues and fluids at this time. In fact, we might even find ourselves with an excess of these tissues and fluids, like mucous (seasonal allergies, anyone?) and even some excess body fat or water retention leftover from the winter months.
These excesses tend to become a burden in the summer months, if we don't do anything to rid the body of them, so we can begin to feel sluggish, heavy, and dull. Ayurveda proposes spring cleansing to eliminate excess earth and water elements and prepare the body and mind for the heat of summer. Wouldn't it be nice if the summer weren't so...well...HOT this year??? It doesn't have to feel that way!
